Kukui Trail into Waimea Canyon on Kauai

The Kukui trail decends into Waimea cantion dropping 2000 feet to the canyon floor. The trail ends at the Wiliwili camp site. A permit is required if you wish to camp. The trail passes several spectactiar views and you can see several waterfalls across the canyon.

Driving directions:

Follow Highway 50/550 west and north (clockwise) to the 8 mile marker, then proceeed another three quarter miles. There is a parking lot on the west side of the road and a sign for the Kukui and Iliau trails.
